Is it possible to actually lose weight while staying healthy and fit? Many people have apprehensions about this, because people who are on weight loss diets which may not be nutritionally balanced, especially fad diets, can lose their skin tone and may also end up with sunken eyes, feelings of weakness and malaise.
If you go on a fad or quick diet in an effort to lose weight fast, you can end up actually looking sick in a few days time. Staying healthy while on a weight loss diet
If you are going on a diet for any long period of time, it is all the more important that you stay healthy and fit. The best way to do that is to see that all the nutritional requirements of your body are met. And also if you have a fitness regime don’t give it up. If you don’t have a fitness regime, then you should undertake one. Physical activity is most important so that you don’t land up with sagging skin and sunken eyes which will make you look sick.
If you find exercise very boring then you should in the very least go for long walks everyday. You can alternate this with sports like swimming, cycling, jogging or power walking. Even if you do physical work in the house whether it is mopping and dusting or carpentry work, it counts as labor and expends calories. Dancing, too, is exercise which uses up calories.

People living in areas like Okinawa in Japan live much longer because they eat less and are active physically. All the more reason for you to work towards losing weight in a healthy way – you will live longer if you do so.
