A healthy weight loss diet will have you feeling better and losing weight in as little as one month. But there is some important weight loss information you need to know about before starting any healthy weight loss diet. In our current culture, a diet is something you do for a short period of time. This is a hazardous approach. The sellers of diet foods, pills, plans, meals, etc. encourage you to change your eating habits for only a short period of time. The 4 week this plan or the 8 week that plan. Then when you go ‘off’ your diet and gain back the weight you lost as well as a few extra pounds, you’ll only be too eager to go out and purchase more diet foods, pills, plans, meals, etc. and the diet Merry-Go-Round is off and running.
The weight loss industry is a multi-billion (that’s billion with a ‘b’) dollar market. And yet, have you ever heard of an idea or product marketed by the weight loss industry that actually works long term? Most don’t work at all or are totally counterproductive (like diet pills that contain stimulants, makes you feel energized for a couple hours, and then makes you very hungry!). The weight loss industry wants you to become part of the diet Merry-Go-Round, once you’re part of the cycle, they have a customer for life. This is weight loss information they do not want you to know when starting a healthy weight loss diet!

If they manufacture a drink that ‘helps you lose weight’, you use it for a while, maybe lose a few pounds, then either stop buying it (they like this because you’ll be back – after all it worked once, right?), or you keep buying it (they really like this because, it’s money in their pocket). And the same concept applies to any product the weight loss industry tosses at you.
You need to take a step back and look at what this product or service is really giving you. Is it providing you with a naturally occurring food? No. It’s usually processed and refined to the point that most of the ingredients are unrecognizable or man-made. Is it providing you with a method to permanently change your eating habits so that you are on a healthy weight loss diet? No, not unless you count tracking your food via some point system. And even then, unless you have a big brute pop out of the refrigerator and stop you from eating too many ‘points’, it’s just a tracking device, not a method of permanently changing your eating habits to a healthy weight loss diet.
The weight loss information you need to know when starting a healthy weight loss diet includes understanding how celebrities and the weight loss industry work together. Please don’t start a fad diet because a celebrity recommends it. Look at most of the celebrities that do recommend this or that plan, they are on the diet Merry-Go-Round as well. In addition, the celebrity is being paid big dollars to be the sponsor of one of these products or plans. The celebrity can also afford to have brutes around that do nothing except slap junk food out of the celebrity’s hands, they are called personal trainers. Their personal trainers will also put the celebrity on a fitness program of some sort, but they usually never mention that during their advertisements. Understanding this, you know the celebrities’ results are not likely to be the same as the results that you will see.
In order to have a healthy weight loss diet, the weight loss information you need to know is that going back to basics is the best and only proven method to permanently changing your eating habits. And changing or developing a new habit takes time. Most studies suggest a 6 to 8 week time period for a new habit to be formed. Start by choosing fresh foods over processed foods, water over soft drinks, coffee, or tea, no dessert instead of a dessert. Arm yourself with this weight loss information and you’ll start seeing the results in weight loss, better sleep and a better frame of mind, as well as a much fatter wallet!
